Locals call it “the Star.” A post office (1916), railway (1932) and 1950s grain silos shaped the place from sheep-station country into a cropping district. The community Sporting Club (often Thu–Fri evenings) offers camping, tennis and a rustic nine-hole bush golf course. Weekday mornings cover store/post office essentials; don’t bank on the Vicarage Café (listed closed). April cutting and August polo/showjumping weekends are the big visitor draws.
